Opulent, incredible, lavish, amazing. Most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. Incredible mountain views combined with amazing staff and a perfectly designed and maintained hotel. Indoor and heated outdoor pools were very enjoyable. Nice gym to burn off the great food. Breakfast was delicious. To order eggs and an amazing selection of everything else. Located in Obersalzberg below the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagles Nest) this incredible hotel gives you easy access to Berchtesgaden's many attractions. Easy walk to the bus boarding area for the Eagles Nest. Buy your tickets on-line in advance. Open mid-May to mid-October. Documentation Museum (History of the Nazi leadership in this area and atrocities) is located on the backside of the vehicle parking area for the Eagles Nest bus tour and is open year around. Visit the salt mine and take the fun tour and make sure you drive to the Konigssee and take the boat tour and enjoy some hiking. If you are a true adventurer you can walk to the Kehlsteinhaus from the hotel. They will give you a map. All trails so no bus conflict. Very well marked with sign posts. Said four hours but I did it in one and a half. You don't need to take the elevator to the Eagles Nest at the bus turn around area. Walk down the road 200-300 meters and a trail takes you to the top.

Perfect for a relaxing, slow-paced, stree-free holiday. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with staff attentive to the guests at all times. Staff at the hotel are lovely, warm and welcoming. Went for the skiing - rental available on site and direct transportation provided by the hotel. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Kevin, who was very helpful and hospitable. All in all, absolutely great. Recommended a hundred times over.

The location offers incredible views and is also near to most of the towns and sights in the region. There's a play area in the restaurant, an outdoor playground and an indoor playroom for kids to explore. The staff and facilities made our very active one year old boy feel very welcome. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety and having multiple restaurants on site was also convenient. We made good use of both the indoor and outdoor pools and the spa. The Kaminbar also has a lovely atmosphere for cocktails and food. We loved our stay so much that we stayed an extra night!

The service was at the highest level, the rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was excellent and varied. The service was very friendly and pleasant! We really loved the entire experience. The hotel’s restaurants were of the highest quality. We especially appreciated Eric from the team, who was at the entrance and helped us a lot! We look forward to returning in the winter during the snowy season.

The food is absolutely delectable, the staff always helpful and professional! Great spa with open pool, incredible scenery. The hotel is in an incredible location in the mountains overlooking the Eagles Nest itself. The location of the hotel on the hill itself is absolutely unreal!
